Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad

When tomatoes are at their peak, little else is needed. Ripe heirlooms layered with creamy burrata and finished with good olive oil and fresh herbs make for a dish that is both rustic and refined.


Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 3–4 large heirloom tomatoes, sliced or wedged

  • 1 ball burrata (about 8 oz)

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Flaky sea salt & freshly cracked pepper

  • Fresh basil or microgreens

  • Optional: aged balsamic or a squeeze of lemon

Method

  1. Arrange sliced tomatoes on a platter.

  2. Tear open the burrata and place among the tomatoes.

  3. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and scatter fresh herbs.

  4. Add a touch of balsamic or lemon if desired.
