Our icon was designed by the legendary Marta Harding to honor the history of winemaking while nodding to the modern artisanal spirit of Desforges and drawing inspiration from Peter’s personal cellar.
OUR STORY
French-American Peter Desforges planted his Sonoma vineyard with a bold vision: to achieve national acclaim and pass the legacy to his son Luke, who was rising in the wine industry. But when Luke was diagnosed with Myotonic Dystrophy—the same genetic degenerative disease that has impacted Peter's wife Suzanne—their shared dream seemed lost. Luke could no longer drink or work in the wine industry he loved.
Rather than abandon the land, Peter chose resilience over retreat. He has committed to preserving their vision, crafting wines that honor his French heritage, culinary passion, and the untapped potential of his virgin Sonoma terroir. Today, a portion of every bottle sold supports Myotonic Dystrophy research—turning personal tragedy into hope for others facing this rare disease.
