Grilled Prawns with Lemon Aioli

Simple and coastal-inspired, grilled prawns are served with a bright lemon aioli that highlights their natural sweetness. A dish that feels light, fresh, and perfect for the season.


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Flaky sea salt & freshly cracked pepper

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated

  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon

Method

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. Toss prawns with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill 1–2 minutes per side until just opaque.

  3. For the aioli, whisk mayonnaise with garlic, lemon zest, and juice. Adjust seasoning.

  4. Serve prawns immediately with lemon aioli on the side.

  • Sourcing: Look for sustainably caught prawns from your fishmonger or local seafood vendor. Fresh lemons elevate the aioli.
